So we can discuss Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, but can't discuss Breaking Dawn until I have read it. I'm picking it up from Romey tonight and I should finish by the end of this week!

Okay, as if we would do such a thing!
We should include Sirena because she was part of the cult leader's council when she was sucking me in that night as we ate cake at the countertop.
One thing we went over that fateful night was the "movie" Edward, and how he didn't do the "book" Edward justice. I have to say, watching the trailer over, and over, and having read the book, I like him.
Another place to discuss Edward? I'm all for it!
I just finished reading Breaking Dawn and now MJ has to hurry up and read it already :)

and I meant to say I agree, watching the movie trailers, Rob Pattinson has a certain something, I thought he was ugly at first but watching him in that scene where Bella says she isn't afraid of him and he says, "you shouldn't have said that" and smiles that smile, that was an EDWARD smile all the way - TEAM EDWARD!

It doesn't seem like they stuck to the book exactly since there is a field trip in the movie and not in the book. It'll be interesting to see how far off it is.

i think my fave part is when james says "you brought a snack", because it just brings to the forefront all the things that a vampire/human relationship will encounter . . . and the fun beings!
So I have Breaking Dawn (read 224 pages last night) and I'm at the part where Jacob and Seth are at the Cullen's to protect Bella, because the "pack" is coming to get them....because of the "monster" growing in Bella....man I did not see that part coming!
Yeah I have to agree with Romey that one part when James said you brought a snack...I think I was laughing to myself because I thought that was so hilarious!
But you know know for me the most romantic part was the part where he wrote that one note "take care of my heart - I've left it with you".
I can almost visualize the wedding and when she was saying goodbye to her parents I was sad :(

There are so many great moments in all three books but today my favorite part is in Eclipse when Edward tells Bella that he is "that boy" who if he had found her, would have gotten down on one knee and secured her hand in marriage.
And the most romantic part of me, was after he did kneel down and promised to love her every single day of forever, when he put the ring on her finger and kissed each fingertip and then the ring.
okay, new question:
In reading New Moon, do you think Bella fell in love with Jacob and just didn't realize it until Eclipse? Or do you think she was just settling because she thought she would never have Edward?
I think Bella fell in love with Jacob and tried to tell herself that her love for him was because he was her BBF, but then when she realized that she was in love in love with him...she knew that it would always be as her BFF and that the "love" she felt for him she would never act on because of her "love" for Edward...make sense.
Her love for Edward is eternally...he is the air that she breaths and cannot live without him and thus she wanted to become that "monster" so she would always be with him.
So I'm at the part in Breaking Dawn where she has had Reneesme and now she is going on her first hunt!
This is how slow I am....it took me a few pages after they thought of that name....I thought now that is an ugly name....then it hit me it was her mother's name and Edward's mother's name together duh!
And is Jacob attached to Reneesme because of her attachement to Bella? Is that why he is so protective of the baby?
So I'm thinking ahead, but I'm ahead and hoping that Jacob and Leah get together! So don't tell me if they do...I need to finish reading....read over 100 pages last night...so getting there!
And I love Seth....he is someone you just want around...reminds me of Jason and Spinelli in GH LOL :)
Jacob's attachment to Reneesme is because he imprints on her when he sees her for the first time, when he comes down the stairs, when he thinks Bella's dead and he's going to kill the baby and Rosalie.
How did you miss that?
Yeah but when Bella accuses him "imprinting" he claims he's not....so I guess I'm confused :( I will have to go back and reread that part...and let me tell you the drinking of the blood from the cup reminded of our infamous dinaguon LOL!
yeah, you have to go back and read it. at the end of jacob's last chapter, he talks about the strings holding him being cut and how reneesme is the new string that holds him. i think, literally, it's on the last page of the chapter. alyssa missed that part too.
but jacob never denys imprinting on reneesme. you must have read that part wrong too. bella can't believe that jacob is still around and edward says he understands but doesn't like it when jacob does his test with bella and still doesn't want bella to see reneesme because he's all protective of her.
First of all, MJ - you can't ask any questions about Breaking Dawn until you are done with it.
To MT's question of was Bella in love with Jacob - no. Love him, yes. In love with him no, lusted him - maybe a tad. She's a teenager!

Okay I am done with Breaking Dawn and like I told Romey...I was disappointed in the ending :( but like she said it left it open for another book....well I knew that when Reneesme was born :)

After Bella changed into the "vampire" and she went hunting...it was kind of gross if you visualized (and I am wondering how they will do this in Twilight when they hunt) the hunt. It was pretty graphic when they would say she stopped with the prey in her mouth as she heard the noise etc. eeeekkkkkwwwwwww ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I agree with Romey.....Sue and Charlie are well on there way to happiness. As for Jacob and Leah, that'll never happen because Jacob imprinted on Reneesme. But I guess Reneesme doesn't necessarily have to choose Jacob.
Why were you disappointed with the ending? Because it's the end of Bella's story? Did you notice "The End" on the last page? Stephanie Meyer intended Breaking Dawn to be the end of Bella's story because all her conflicts are settled.
There is an opening for another book but it won't be Bella's story. Maybe Jacob's with how the whole Reneesme thing goes.....we could get our fill of Bella and Edward that way but only as it would tie into Jacob and Reneesme. And of course, if Stephanie Meyer ever finishes and publishes Midnight Sun, then we could get Edward's perspective on all that occured in the Twilight Saga.
Alyssa will be excited that New Moon will be made into a movie because she's all into Taylor Lautner who plays Jacob Black. And hopefully if they get the same actors signed on, we all know Jacob Black plays a key role in New Moon.
What is it, do you think, that makes us so obssessed about Twilight? Is it just the romance between Bella and Edward? Why, do you think, we connected with Bella and Edward to the point we had to have our own blog? lol

For me, what got me "bitten" is the whole forbidden love between them and just how their love is in general. I'm a total sucker for romance, and this was such a romantic book.
and I don't know if this is way out there but you know how Jacob is a "dog" and dogs have that sixth sense. Do you think he was attracted and drawn to Bella because of her future child?

Rob on Set
There's a really interesting blog entry by a fan who was able to be behind the scenes of Twilight - she posts her thoughts about the trailer, plus this great little tidbit about Rob and Kristen on the set.
I think I've said this before, but it was also interesting watching the preparation processes of Kristen and Rob. Kristen would disappear for a long time between scenes, spend a lot of time in her trailer, and she didn't linger around with the other actors much. She would prepare, focus, come into the scene and shoot it brilliantly, checking herself in the middle of takes, asking to do it again if it wasn't right with her etc., whereas Rob would meander, do what he pleased, and when it came time to film he would pause for about twenty or thirty seconds before action, stare at a spot on the floor or off into the distance, and then he'd be in it; he'd be Edward. It was just neat to witness how differently they prepared and how well each tactic seemed to work for them.
And I think my other comment came out all jumbled, sorry, I'm posting via my cell!

OMG...just found out one of the girls is listening to the Twilight series on the audiotapes! She said her friend loves Jacob, but she likes Edward...even if he is "cold" LOL :) I think we have some competition for Edward!!!

My favorite book is Twilight and Eclipse. I love that Jacob was such a good friend to Bella in New Moon and I love the wedding in Breaking Dawn and I love the end of Breaking Dawn where Edward finally can see what Bella's thinking.

I just called Hot Topic and the chick said that THE SIGNING IS GOING TO HAPPEN.

The weekend has come and gone, and this tired girl is marking "Hollywood Premiere" off her list of things to do!!! There is no one else I would have wanted to share this experience with except for my sistahs and their spawn!
It was fun and an unbelievable weekend! We have wonderful memories and pictures to commerate our first and last "Hollywood Premiere"!
